Powering a digital labor platform with infrastructure services from Google Cloud
Maqqie offers payroll, search and match of companies and workers on a digital platform. The company facilitates contracts (flexible and fixed), taking into account all relevant legislation and regulations, including social security aspects and pensions. Removing all barriers for flex work in a single platform. Maqqie’s ambition is to become the largest employer in the Netherlands in 5 years.
Their challenges were:
- Platform needs infrastructure that is solid in performance, scalable in ambition, and predictable in budget. Facilitate move from a “shoestring funded” start-up to a venture capital backed scale-up
- Need for a highly-trained operations team that can provide 24*7 support and ensure service availability for mission-critical platform
- Need for standard monitoring and alerting policies on various levels like infrastructure, application, network, and security to detect threats and vulnerabilities and mitigate them
- Need to innovate faster and deliver new solutions with improved
stability and low operations cost
Vanenburg has set-up and is managing Maqqie’s Google Cloud environment (“landing zone”). Enabling the digital native to become the 2nd fastest growing tech startup of the Netherlands according to the Deloitte Fast50.
